Here's our trip costs:

Overall total cost: £9188.92 (including insurance). Average daily cost: £50.49 (182 days in total)

Travel insurance (2 people): We arranged European insurance through 'ERV' as they specialise in skiing, but took the 'Red Rookie' option as this covered us for off piste skiing, ski touring and rock climbing (as long as this wasn't the main purpose of our trip). Cost: £451.57 for 197 days (not all used). Average daily cost: £0.00

Spain (Costa Blanca, Granada, Malaga, Ronda):
On Costa Blanca we stayed with Jackie's father and Elizabeth, so had few accommodation and meal expenses, so our costings in this section give a rather false view of anothers total costs.
